One Inch Tall

If you were only one inch tall, you’d ride a worm to school. The teardrop of a crying ant would be your swimming pool. A crumb of cake would be a feast And last you seven days at least, A flea would be a frightening beast If you were one inch tall. If you were only one inch tall, you’d walk beneath the door, And it would take about a month to get down to the store. A bit of fluff would be your bed, You’d swing upon a spider’s thread, And wear a thimble on your head If you were one inch tall. You’d surf across the kitchen sink upon a stick of gum. You couldn’t hug your mama, you’d just have to hug her thumb. You’d run from people’s feet in fright, To move a pen would take all night, (This poem took fourteen years to write– ‘Cause I’m just one inch tall). Silvie by Shel Silverstein

Haunted House

There’s a house upon the hilltop We will not go inside For that is where the witches live, Where ghosts and goblins hide. Tonight they have their party, All the lights are burning bright, But oh we will not go inside The haunted house tonight. The demons there are whirling And the spirits swirl about. They sing their songs to Halloween. “Come join the fun,” they shout. But we do not want to go there So we run with all our might And oh we will not go inside The haunted house tonight. Messy Room

Whosever room this is should be ashamed! His underwear is hanging on the lamp. His raincoat is there in the overstuffed chair, And the chair is becoming quite mucky and damp. His workbook is wedged in the window, His sweater’s been thrown on the floor. His scarf and one ski are beneath the TV, And his pants have been carelessly hung on the door. His books are all jammed in the closet, His vest has been left in the hall. A lizard named Ed is asleep in his bed, And his smelly old sock has been stuck to the wall. Whosever room this is should be ashamed! Donald or Robert or Willie or– by Shel Silverstein Lorraine

Treehuggers

Children of the fragile forest gather around Where bird song seems to be the loudest sound A place called Summer, green as you could please A place where we all proudly hug the trees. Hug trees for the walnuts and sweet apples For the shade above small country chapels For giving squirrel and crow a place to live For the priceless gift of oxygen they give. Follow your feet across a woodland floor Beneath the tall and ancient sycamore Under redwood, under tall blue pine Come with me and form an endless line. Join the boy whose name is simply ME Take your turn and hug a mighty tree A wish we cast upon an August breeze A dream to cross the seven sacred seas. Release it now, just like a big balloon… A prayer to reach the mountains of the moon To citizens of Earth alas we say Go find yourself a tree to hug today! And if a grownup says Don’t be a fool! Or Is that what they’re teaching you in school Just find this poem and read this simple rhyme It’s cool to HUG a TREE from time to time! Children this is how the world can be Making Earth plan A and not plan B Wear Change! Share Change! Sing Change! Bring Change And start by hugging a tree! Lily

Little Star

Little star lived in space with all the other stars and planets. Most stars were shiny and bright and made patterns in the sky, but try as she might, Little Star couldn’t shine as brightly as the other stars. One night when the other stars were dancing around the moon Little Star set off to see her friend, Twinkle. Now Twinkle was a wishing star and could make Little Stars wish come true. She wanted to be the brightest star in the universe! But Little Star couldn’t find Twinkle anywhere and she started to cry. Would she ever be as bright as the other stars ? Suddenly she heard a friendly voice calling out ,”Little Star, Little Star grab hold of my tail and I’ll take you for a ride!” It was Corky the comet. Corky had a long silvery tail and was always rushing through space. Straight away Little Star leaped onto Corky’s tail. It was time for an adventure! “Where are we going?” Little Star asked Corky. “We’re going to visit my old friend Mr. Sun, the biggest and brightest star of all.” Little Star was so excited she nearly fell off Corky’s tail. As Corky sped through space Little Star could feel the warm glow from Mr. Sun getting closer.” We’ll fly once around Mr. Sun and then it’s back home for tea” bellowed Corky. Little Star couldn’t wait. As they got nearer Corky heard Little Star shout out ,”Hello Mr. Sun.” Mr. Sun slowly turned around to see who was there. “ Well if it isn’t my old friend Corky… and who have you brought along to see me today?” he said with a warm and friendly voice. “This” said Corky, is my new friend Little Star. “ It’s a pleasure to meet you Mr. Sun “ said Little Star. “ I wish I was big and bright like you.” Mr. Sun chuckled to himself. “ It will be a long time before you’re as big as me “ he said, “But you’ll be much brighter sooner than you think “ he said, winking at Corky. Then Mr. Sun reached out his long shimmering arm and shook hands with Little Star, and as he let go a strange thing happened. Little Star felt all tingly inside, her eyes lit up and suddenly she started to glow brighter and brighter.” Looks like Mr. Sun has cheered you up a bit”, said Corky. Little Star gave Corky a big smile then turned around to wave goodbye to Mr. Sun. “ Thank you for making me bright and shiny”, shouted Little Star.” You always were”, said Mr. Sun ,”you just had to feel it inside.” Then with a whoosh from Corky’s tail they shot off through space and before Little Star knew it they were back home just in time for tea. Sissy Alert

I was doing one of my least favorite tasks last night which was shopping. Since I love it so much I go late in the evening so I don’t have to deal with many that many people. As I was picking up some cat food I noticed this fellow in the ladies section looking very cautiously at the panties and bras. He looked around to see if anyone was looking and held them up to see if they fit. It was neat to see this sissy watching himself in the mirror as he held them up to see how they looked. He looked puzzled when I walked up to him later and said that his choice in clothes was very nice. I told him not to be embarrassed and maybe we could hook up later if he wanted to try them on for real.   Daddy Paul
