Scary Tales

I know like the rest of you we loved a good bedtime story. But when you get down to it there was lots of violence and mayhem. Classics like Snow White where she was almost poisoned along with Sleeping Beauty. Hansel and Gretel were almost eaten by a cannibal Witch. Little Red Riding hood almost eaten by a wolf and then the wolf was chopped up by a woodsman. So you look back at what was read to us before we went to sleep and it’s like geez what the heck were they thinking. Snuggle up time with mommy or daddy is appropriate after that scary bedtime story.   Daddy Paul

Plastic Wrap

I’ve been fascinated as of late with different forms of subduing techniques. I have put the question to the forums, and I thought I might bring the subject here as well. From cuffs, to potions to being immobilized by many pairs of hands to blackmail – so very many ways to be subdued for one purpose or another. Now the other night in the chatroom, Daddy Paul brought up the possibility of plastic wrap. Well let me tell you, this peaked my interest. What a lovely use a common household item! One could use plastic wrap as a suitable substitute to ropes/cuffs, create a make shift squaddling sleep sack out of it, as well as adapt it to be used as bed/hospital straps. And the things I could do with the colored wraps – especially the rose colored ones (let’s just say I would test my clothes designing skills with it, teeheehee!)! I think it may actually pass the versatility of duct tape LOL! So I wanted to tip my hat to Daddy Paul for opening my eyes (and my warped, little mind) to the wonderful world of plastic wrap! Maggie

Summer Time Snacks

Treats are a good thing. Especially on a hot hot day. I remember when I was little my Mom would make her own ice pops. And man they sucked. My Mom didn’t believe in the use of sugar, or flavor actually, everything tasted the same, and her ice pops? Tasted like ice cubes that just happened to be in various colors. Now my dad on the other hand, his stuff was magical. It had FLAVOR! He would make these incredible yogurt and fruit pops every year for the Fourth of July. We had to wait a whole year to get a decent snack, it was something we would look forward to. It was like Christmas. Since I have become an adult and have learned that it’s actually okay for your food to taste a lot better then newspaper, I make my own snacks for hot days. No matter how many times I make them and enjoy them, I always think back to my Mom and her frozen ice blob pops. Sue 1-888-430-2010

Bottoms Up

So this is what I walk into when I get home. Did you save that big mess up in your diaper for me to clean you dirty little boy? That looks like quite possibly the nastiest mess I have ever seen in one layer of diaper. Now head for the bathroom because you are going to need to be washed in the tub to get rid of that smell. Off with you clothes young man and daddy will wash you off and change you into the sweet smelling decent presentable little fellow that you can be. Daddy Paul

Tired

oh my Goodness am I ever tired. Today has been absolutely exhausting!  I went to mine and my husband’s mother’s house, both of these women are pure nuts! lol Oooooooooooh Sue, you didn’t have to get me anything!  Are you joking? Of course we did, otherwise we would have to put up with some serious guilt calls from the both of them.  I hope you had a pleasant day, and remembered your Mother’s, no matter how annoying they can be! FootPrints

As we all know we have these footprints that we leave wherever we go.Sometimes we get them over floors sidewalks around the pool we get out of the water and our feet are still wet. But for me the cutest footprints are made from a small child that has been outside on a rainy day and they walk over that kitchen floor that you have just mopped. To see the look of ut ho in their eyes like i am going to get it now so they try as hard as they can to cover it up whats funny is to watch them bent over the floor trying to clean up those muddy prints and their little diapered bottoms peeking out.
